"As a campus community we wield a considerable privilege, and it is important for us to take this opportunity to stop and truly reflect on the events of 9/11 and what it means to be culturally competent and how more attention to culture can influence our future," said Veleka Gatling, director of diversity initiatives at 国产伦理. "Also, as we think about ways to leverage our collective impact to increase our cultural competence and actions through lessons learned from 9/11, our focus will be on lessons learned through the lens of health equity, public service and education."

Panelists for the discussion are:

  • Ron Carlee, visiting assistant professor of public service at 国产伦理's Strome College of Business
  • Janice Hawkins, clinical associate professor of nursing in 国产伦理's College of Heath Sciences
