国产伦理's Division of Talent Management and Culture seeks dedicated volunteers to serve as聽Decision-Makers听补苍诲听Advisors聽in our Title IX and Sexual Misconduct process. This is a unique opportunity to support our university community, uphold fairness, and ensure due process in sensitive cases dealing with sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and exploitation.聽

Roles and Responsibilities:

Decision-Makers (Hearing Officers)
As a Decision-Maker, you will serve as a neutral panelist on a three-person hearing panel. Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing policy and investigative materials.

  • Participating in a pre-hearing meeting with the Title IX Coordinator and your fellow panelists.
  • Engaging in a live hearing via Zoom during business hours.

  • Asking questions during hearings and determining the relevance of questions.

  • Collaborating with panelists to make a finding (responsible or not responsible for a policy violation) and drafting a letter that outlines the decision, rationale, and sanctions when applicable.

Advisors (Support Person)
Advisors provide support to either the complainant or respondent throughout the process. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting parties in preparing for interview and hearing.

  • Reviewing policy and investigative materials.

  • Helping party formulate questions for the hearing.

  • Attending pre-hearing meeting with the Title IX Coordinator and your party.
  • Attending the live hearing, providing non-disruptive guidance.

  • For Title IX cases, cross-examining the other party and witnesses during the hearing.
